Concordia Language Villages

Concordia Language Villages runs Waldsee, a German Language Village where daily life happens in German. Villagers eat in the Gasthof, get coffee at the Café, and use the language in games, arts, sports, cooking, baking, and environmental, historical and cultural activities. Programs include youth overnight camps, an adult week, family weeks and weekends, and adventure programs in theatre, medieval theatre, environmental learning and Swiss culture.

Family programs need at least one adult and one child, and adults attending without children register for the adult program instead. Each program lists its own tuition and a minimum deposit, and need-based scholarships are available for youth summer sessions through the Passport Fund. The village sits on Turtle River Lake near Bemidji, with winterized cabins, a sauna building and a birch, oak and pine forest.
