Big River Scoop Ice Cream

Big River Scoop is an ice cream shop in downtown Bemidji that serves 24 flavors of super-premium ice cream, scooped into bowls or cones, along with milkshakes, malts, fruit smoothies and sundae-style treats. Its State Fair style mini donuts come with cinnamon sugar, apple cider sugar, cookies and cream sugar, or seasonal pumpkin spice sugar. Coffee, tea, soda and juice are also available, and a scoop can be added to a cup of coffee.

The shop is across the street from the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues on Lake Bemidji. Orders can be placed by phone or email for pickup, and gift cards, including e-gift certificates, are available year-round. Many ice cream flavors and cones are gluten free and dairy free. Spring hours run from 1 PM to 8 PM daily starting May 1, and summer hours run from noon to 9 PM daily starting June 1.
