Allenwood General Store

Allenwood General Store is a country store in the village of Allenwood, known for fresh homemade breakfast and lunch food and an antiques shop filling the whole building. Heather's organic soups and chili are made in house, and the breakfast sandwiches get frequent praise from customers. The store has been run by the Herbert family since 1972 and is now owned by Jeffrey and Heather.

The store sits right on the Edger J. Felix bike path between Manasquan and Allaire State Park, so it works well as a stop on a bike ride, dog walk or bird watching trip. Seating is available inside and out year round. Hours are early, with the store closed Mondays and opening at 5 AM most other days.
