Ironworkers 11

Ironworkers Local Union No. 11 is a union of iron workers who take on structural steel, reinforced and precast concrete, rigging, ornamental and miscellaneous iron, welding, metal buildings, stairs and railings, curtain wall, demolition, fence and guardrail work. The local lists solar, wind turbine and siding work among its specialties as well.

The union supplies trained workers to contractors and runs an apprenticeship and journeyman upgrading program through its Education and Training Trust, with a focus on OSHA training. Members have worked on bridges, schools, hospitals, stadiums and nuclear power plants in the area. The union office is at 1500 Broad Street in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and contractors who need workers are asked to call the office.
