Connection Counseling LLC

Connection Counseling LLC is a virtual therapy practice run by Cara Bonsma, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 10 years of experience in public schools, hospital-based behavioral health programs, community mental health centers and in-home therapy. The practice works with teens and adults on anxiety, ADHD symptoms, stress and burnout, relationship and communication problems, and parenting struggles. Sessions draw on cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.

Because it is a solo practice, clients work one-on-one with Cara from start to finish. Sessions are held online through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, and clients can join from anywhere in New Jersey. Insurance is accepted through Headway, and a free 15-minute consultation is offered before starting. The practice is based in Hillsborough.
