Above and Beyond Animal Care

Above and Beyond Animal Care is a veterinary hospital that cares for dogs, cats and horses. Its services include routine wellness care, vaccinations, spay and neuter, parasite control, dentistry, in-house laboratory work, digital X-rays, ultrasound and soft tissue surgery, along with equine wellness exams and diagnostics. The clinic was founded by Dr. Jen Powers Maples, who practiced in the Redding area for 14 years before opening here in 2009.

New clients are being accepted, and appointments can be booked online or by phone. Emergency care is available around the clock, but only for established clients, who should call the emergency line. The clinic is on Old Alturas Road in Bella Vista and serves pet owners from Palo Cedro, Redding, Anderson, Cottonwood and Shasta Lake City. Medication refills can be ordered through its online store.
