Liriodendron

Liriodendron is a historic Palladian mansion built in 1898 as the summer residence of Dr. Howard A. Kelly, one of the founding physicians of Johns Hopkins Medical College. Harford County bought the property in the late 1970s, and it is now run as a historic, cultural, educational and recreational facility by the nonprofit Liriodendron Foundation. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The mansion is open to the public free of charge on Wednesdays and the second Sunday of each month. Its second floor holds a free art gallery, and the Ice House on the grounds has a prehistoric Native American exhibit. The 108 acres of grounds, part of Heavenly Waters Park, are open for public use from sunrise to sunset. The property is also rented for weddings, private parties, corporate meetings and concerts, and it is located at 502 W Gordon Street in Bel Air.
