The Cheese Shoppe

The Cheese Shoppe sells gourmet cheese and specialty foods from makers around the world, and has been a fixture on Long Beach Island since 1981. Staff can help you choose a wedge, and the shop also makes gourmet sandwiches that you can take out or eat in. Free cheese tastings and catering for local events are part of the mix.

Gift certificates are sold on the shop's website, and orders can be placed online ahead of a visit. The Surf City shop on Long Beach Boulevard is open seven days a week, while the Beach Haven shop remains closed after storm damage. The business is family run and changed hands in 2021, when Jaime and Angela Ryan took over from KayCee Roth.
