Black Eyed Susans

Black-Eyed Susans is a beach casual restaurant and tavern that serves a rotating menu of artisan pizzas, house-made pastas, fresh seafood, salads and shareable plates. The kitchen builds its menus around seasonal ingredients, many sourced from local farms, distributors and fishermen, and leans on organic produce, sustainably caught seafood and pasture raised meats. The bar pours cocktails built on fresh ingredients, including a line of spritzes, and a certified sommelier chooses the wine list.

The restaurant is in Harvey Cedars on Long Beach Island and is open Wednesday through Saturday, with later hours on Friday and Saturday. Main dining is walk-in only, while a limited number of reservations are held for the second-floor dining room for guests over 12. Takeout is available, and gift cards can be bought online. The second floor doubles as a private event space for groups larger than eight, seating up to 45 guests or receptions of up to 60. Strollers are not permitted in the dining room, though a few highchairs are available.
