The Lucky Monk

The Lucky Monk is a burger-focused restaurant and brewery in South Barrington, known for its Smashburger and pub-style menu. The kitchen also turns out poutine, a white truffle mushroom pizza, a Carolina BBQ chicken sandwich and a Cali salad with a choice of protein. Beers are brewed in small batches on the premises, with a rotating lineup that mixes regular favorites and seasonal releases.

Reservations can be made ahead, and walk-ins are seated when space is open. There is on-site parking, and Mondays bring a deal of a Smashburger, fries and a 10oz beer for $15, dine-in only. Weekday afternoon happy hour offers half-price house beers and appetizers. The space also works for private events, from birthdays to corporate dinners.
