Viking Fresh Off the Hook

Viking Fresh Off the Hook is a family-owned seafood spot in Barnegat Light that has been open since 2003. The kitchen prepares its food on-site, working with fresh seafood from the neighboring Viking Village commercial fishing dock, and the menu also includes homestyle classics.

Most orders are takeout. Call ahead for lunch or dinner, then pick up your food ready to take home or eat at the shaded outdoor tables. Pets are welcome and guests can bring their own beer or wine. The restaurant is at 1905 Bayview Ave. on Long Beach Island. Its website notes it was closed for the season when last checked, and a limited lunch menu was listed.
