Grandpa's Cheesebarn & Sweeties Jumbo Chocolates

Grandpa's Cheesebarn in Norton is a specialty food shop built around cheese, with about 120 varieties, including local Amish and Holmes County cheeses and imported European cheeses. The shop also carries home-smoked meats, dips, spreads, jams, pickles, honey, maple syrup and baking mixes, many made in its own kitchen or by Ohio farmers. Homemade Sweeties chocolates and fudge, including turtles, peanut butter fudge and chocolate fudge, are made in the store each week, with caramel, peanut butter and maple creams made from family recipes. Cheese trays are sold only at this location.

This Norton store is the second location of a family business that started in Ashland in 1978, and it is run by fourth-generation owner Mistie Poorbaugh. Online orders are also filled from here, and the store is open Monday through Saturday with shorter hours on Sunday. The store sits on South Cleveland Massillon Road in Norton.
