The Avila

The Avila is a par-72 golf course and oceanfront gathering spot at the edge of Avila Beach, where the estuary meets the bay. The course was designed by Olin Dutra and Desmond Muirhead, and Mulligans Bar + Grill serves coastal comfort food, breakfast and a full bar. A summer concert series, festivals and other events run on the grounds throughout the season.

Golfers book tee times online, and the grounds also offer lessons, memberships and banquets. Weddings can take place barefoot on the sand under string lights, and holiday parties are held with ocean views. Mulligans gift cards are delivered by email, which suits last-minute gifts. The Avila sits about three miles off Highway 101.
