Shoal Creek Saloon

Shoal Creek Saloon is a Louisiana-style bar and kitchen on the bank of Shoal Creek, known for boiled crawfish, chicken fried steak, smoked pork chops and a rotating Burger of the Month. Owned by Ray Canfield for more than 23 years, it has long drawn a mix of politicos, lobbyists, sports fans and locals.

The bar is the Austin home for New Orleans Saints fans, with more than 30 HDTVs and a shuffleboard table that can be played for free. The covered outdoor patio is a popular spot, and dogs are welcome there, subject to posted restrictions. Food is available for pickup and through Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub and Favor.
