Notary Publics

Texas State Notary Bureau helps people become Texas notaries public and supports those already commissioned. Its main work is preparing commission application packages, which include the official bond, filing fee, seal, and journal, along with renewals, notary education, and official supplies such as seals, stamps, embossers, and journals. The bureau was founded by a former Texas Secretary of State notary director and staff attorney.

Applications and renewals can be ordered online and filed electronically. Notary insurance is offered through a licensed insurance agency, and the bureau's training seminars are held in conjunction with Austin Community College. The office is on South 1st Street in Austin, and the phone line is staffed around the clock for questions.
