MEAN EYED CAT BAR

Mean Eyed Cat is a bar on West 5th Street in Downtown Austin, known for a rotating draft selection of local and craft beers and a creative cocktail list. The space began as a chainsaw repair shop in a small outbuilding and keeps a rustic interior covered in chainsaws, portraits, posters and song lyrics honoring Johnny Cash, whose song gave the bar its name.

The bar is a 21+ establishment and is dog friendly on its outdoor patio, which is sheltered by a large Texas Live Oak. Parking is free. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 PM, and the bar is open daily until 2 AM.
