Maximum FX Salon

Maximum FX Salon is a hair salon that has been in Austin since 1991, when it opened on the Drag near the University of Texas. It offers women's and men's haircuts, hair color, styling, hair removal, makeup, bridal hair, and keratin treatments, and it works only with Aveda products, which it mixes for every color service. The salon has trained its own stylists through an in-salon apprenticeship and keeps stylists in continuing education.

Clients can book online or by phone, and every service starts with a consultation. Gift cards are available, and new color clients are invited to start with a consultation before booking. The Circle C Ranch location is at 9600 Escarpment Blvd in Southwest Austin, and a second salon is on South Lamar.
