Flamingo Cantina

Flamingo Cantina is a live music venue on East 6th Street in downtown Austin, known for what its owner calls good vibes music, including reggae, ska, Latin, worldbeat, rock, hip hop and alternative. The room is intimate, and the owner says many touring artists keep coming back for the audience's energy. Performers have included Afro-Cuban artist Ricardo Lemvo, the Mahotella Queens and Burning Spear.

Shows run Wednesday through Saturday, starting at 9 PM and running until 2 AM, with special events on some other nights. All events are 21 and over. Students, seniors and creative industry workers can ask the venue by email about discount codes for advance tickets, and anyone needing accessibility accommodations should email ahead of a show. Paid garage parking is nearby, and the venue sits between Red River and Neches streets.
