East Austin Hotel

East Austin Hotel is a locally owned boutique hotel with 49 mid-century Scandinavian-inspired rooms and suites, along with The Cabins, a set of 26 European-style rooms that share private bathrooms. Rooms come with custom robes and towels and Casper mattresses. The courtyard pool has a retro Palm Springs feel, and the on-site restaurant Poeta serves approachable Italian cooking with ingredient-driven menus from local chefs Ian Thurwachter and Krystal Craig.

The hotel sits on East Sixth Street about five blocks from downtown, roughly a 15-minute walk to the Austin Convention Center and about a mile from the Texas Capitol. Parking is in an underground garage with short-term rates, and there is a 10-minute unloading zone in front of the lobby. Room blocks and event space are available by inquiry.
