Central District Brewing

Central District Brewing is a downtown Austin brewery with a coffee shop and event space under one roof. The brewery says it is the smallest in Austin and has earned gold medals, including at the Great American Beer Festival, for its beers. Its Kayaker's German-style Kolsch is its best seller, and the taproom also pours hazy IPAs, sours and seltzer cocktails. Coffee beans come from local Austin roasters, and the seasonal menu has drinks like a banana bread latte.

The space sits at Fifth and Red River streets on the east side of downtown and is open daily, with later hours on weekends. Coffee drinks can be ordered to-go online, and there are plugs and Wi-Fi for laptop work. Fresh 12-ounce cans and six-packs are sold in the taproom, and semi-private rooms and tables can be reserved for meetings, parties and weddings.
