Brushy Street Commons

Brushy Street Commons is a food, drink and live event venue on a historic sound stage in the 501 Studios building in East Austin. During the day it serves food and drinks, and at night it hosts a regular calendar of live shows, including concerts and screenings. The space has a long film and television history: national commercials were shot there over more than thirty years, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Willie Nelson filmed music videos on the stage, and Universal Pictures used it for the 1981 film Raggedy Man. The Texas Lottery drawings were also broadcast from this room for more than a decade.

Shows often sell out, so tickets are sold online through the venue's event listings, and the venue runs an email list for announcements about new shows. The address is 501 Brushy Street, and the venue states that no guns are allowed.
