Ace Tailors

Ace Tailors does alterations for all kinds of clothing, from everyday pants and shirts to suits, dresses, bridal and formalwear. Standard alterations cover simple hems, sleeve adjustments and waist reshaping, while major alterations include jacket and pant recuts, full resizing and dress reconstruction. The shop also works on leather garments, handling zipper replacements, sleeve and side adjustments and reshaping.

Walk-ins are welcome as availability allows, though the shop recommends booking a fitting appointment to manage in-store traffic. Same-day or next-day express service is offered at its Austin locations depending on the garment, and it's best to call ahead to check availability. The Central location is at North Lamar Boulevard in Austin, and the business has been named Best Alterations by Austin Chronicle readers since 1993.
