Tabers

Tabers is a restaurant, ice cream stand, miniature golf course and driving range on the shore of Lake Auburn. It started in 1941 as a small vegetable stand and is known for its burgers, hot dogs, lobster and tuna rolls, and onion rings and pepper strips dipped in a family batter recipe. The ice cream stand offers 23 flavors of hard serve, including Maine blueberry and Fenway fudge.

The restaurant and ice cream stand are closed for the season, while the driving range and mini golf run from 10am until dark, and the restaurant closes at 7pm on rainy days. Picnic tables and grassy areas overlook the lake, and the property is a good spot for birthday parties, reunions and corporate gatherings, with group rates available.
