NWWIB

NWWIB is a non-profit workforce board that connects Northwest Wisconsin job seekers and employers to training, job placement and career counseling. Its services cover job posting help, customized training and labor market information for businesses, plus career counseling, resume workshops and placement for job seekers. Specialized programs serve youth, veterans and people with disabilities.

Individuals must be looking for work or training to qualify for most programs. Employers can get help with hiring and upskilling their teams. The board covers ten counties in northwest Wisconsin, from Ashland and Bayfield to Douglas, Iron, Price, Sawyer and Washburn, and its office is in Ashland. It is one of 11 workforce boards in the state and is a non-profit rather than a government agency.
