Green Top Shooting Range is an indoor range in Ashland with three 25-yard bays that take both handguns and rifles. It was the first facility in Virginia to earn NSSF 5-Star Certification. Courses run from beginner introductions and Pistol 101 to Concealed Carry Permit classes, Basic Holster training and ladies-only sessions taught by NRA certified instructors. The shop sells firearms from several major brands and rents guns for hands-on testing.
New shooters get a walk-through of check-in, grip, stance and safety gear, with small group classes and a safety briefing before the first lane. Lanes can be reserved online, though walk-ins are welcome during the seven-day schedule. Memberships include unlimited range time and guest passes. The range sits off Route 1 and I-95 with parking and accessible facilities, and buyers of a firearm receive one hour of free range time.
