The Wonder Bar

The Wonder Bar is a long-running bar in Asbury Park, known for live music, a colorful outdoor space, and its Yappy Hour, where dogs are welcome to run off-leash. The menu covers burgers, fries and wings, along with a few less standard dishes, and there is a full bar with classic drinks.

Most of the crowd is a mix of locals and visitors. It is a short walk from the beach and the boardwalk, and it is open evenings on weekdays and from noon on weekends. Guests 21 and up are welcome, and some events require tickets, so check the event listings before heading over. The bar is at Fifth and Ocean Avenues.
