The Joyful Home Co.

The Joyful Home Co. is the interior design and organizing practice of Kristen Barneich, who helps homeowners create rooms that are beautiful, efficient and comfortable to live in. Projects range from a single pantry or closet to a full-house redesign. When a room starts from scratch, the design work covers fixtures, finishes and furniture. For a lighter update, it might mean new paint and flooring while the furniture stays.

Every project begins with an in-person consultation, followed by a mood board and a site visit for measurements. Interior design is billed at $110 per hour and organizing at $95 per hour, each with a six-hour minimum. Gift wrapping is also offered at $95 per hour with supplies included. Travel within the Five Cities is included, and travel beyond that, including the county, is billed at $45 an hour. Supplies, 3D renderings and meetings with contractors are extra.
