Lightning Joe's Guitar Heaven

Lightning Joe's Guitar Heaven is a family-owned guitar shop in the Historic Village of Arroyo Grande, selling new, used and vintage guitars, basses, ukuleles and banjos along with amplifiers, effects pedals and accessories. The shop stocks more than 1,700 instruments and is a Martin Custom Shop dealer, so customers can design a custom Martin guitar with the staff. Private one-on-one lessons take place on the top floor, covering guitar, bass, ukulele and more.

The shop offers free lifetime setups on new guitars, basses and folk instruments bought there, including neck, saddle, nut and intonation work. Gift cards are available, and the staff can often order items that aren't on the shelves. Customers from San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties come in, and the shop sits right off Highway 101, about twenty minutes south of San Luis Obispo.
