Gateway Food Pantry

Gateway Food Pantry is a tax-exempt nonprofit that has worked to relieve hunger for over 30 years and is one of the largest food distribution centers in the St. Louis area. It provides regular food assistance to thousands of families each year, plus walk-in emergency food for anyone who needs it, along with hygiene products and household necessities.

Pantry clients can request basic necessities each time they pick up food. Help with utility bills, gas cards, winter coats and back-to-school supplies comes through the pantry's Client Assistance Fund. The Treasure Shoppe, its thrift store on Key West Drive in Arnold, sells gently used and new donated merchandise, and all of its earnings go to the pantry. Donations are accepted during business hours, except non-working electronics, damaged clothing, and games or puzzles with missing pieces.
