Shag Bark Pet Retreat & Spa

Shag Bark Pet Retreat & Spa offers dog lodging, daycare, grooming, training and group classes on a property of more than six acres in the country north of Lake County. The site says the facility gives dogs plenty of room to exercise, and the business says local veterinarians recommend it. Lodging stays can be customized to a dog's needs, and training includes puppy work.

The facility is at 21685 Grass Lake Road in Antioch, Illinois. The business says it is within about 10 miles of several towns in northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin, including Round Lake, Gurnee, Libertyville, Waukegan and Kenosha. Requests for information are taken through the website, and the office is open seven days a week.
