Leaning Tower of Pizza

Leaning Tower of Pizza is a casual restaurant in Ankeny that makes its pizza by hand on site, baked in a stone deck oven the old-fashioned way. The menu also includes sandwiches, homemade onion rings, pasta dishes and salads, and the restaurant is known mainly for its award-winning pizzas. Its homemade sausage and Grade A mozzarella are part of the recipe.

The restaurant has been around for more than 50 years, starting in Des Moines in the 1960s and moving to Ankeny in the 1970s. Dine-in and carryout are both available from the Uptown location at 512 SW 3rd Street, and catering is offered for office parties, school functions and other large groups with a minimum order of $200 and 24 hours' notice requested. Gift cards are also sold.
