Haven Humane Society

Haven Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter and resource center that has served the Greater Shasta County area since 1952. Its Anderson campus shelters dogs, cats and small animals and places them through adoption. The society also runs low-cost spay and neuter services, vaccine clinics and a kitten nursery that cares for unweaned kittens around the clock.

Most visitors come to adopt, but Haven also helps owners find lost pets, license dogs and get help through its animal control and regulation services. The veterinary hospital offers low-cost spay and neuter surgery, and a pet food pantry helps families keep their animals at home. The adoption center is open to visitors Monday through Saturday.
