The story

Amherst Country Club is an 18-hole public golf course beside the Souhegan River in Amherst, New Hampshire, open year-round. The club also runs Ponemah Green Family Golf Center, which has a driving range, mini golf, a 9-hole executive course called The Sims, golf simulator bays, and an Audubon-certified course. Instruction is offered through the Amherst Golf Academy.
