Southern Tier Psychologist

Rachel A. Gardner is a licensed psychologist who works with children, teens, and young adults on depression, anxiety, trauma, and everyday stress. Her approach is mainly cognitive-behavioral, with dialectical-behavioral and behavioral techniques, and she also works with parents on challenging child behaviors such as hyperactivity, impulsivity, tantrums, and defiance. Parent management training is one of her specialties.

Sessions are individual appointments, offered in person and by telehealth for most services. A free 15-minute consultation can be arranged by phone or email before starting. The practice is at 591 State Route 244 in Alfred Station, in the Southern Tier of New York.
