Pennysmiths Paper

Pennysmiths Paper is a stationery and gift shop in Albuquerque known for custom wedding and party invitations, along with boxed stationery, greeting cards, fountain pens, journals and Southwest-themed holiday items. Founded in 1979 by Penny Rembe, it has been run by her daughter, Emily Rembe Benak, since 1992.

Custom invitations start with a consultation, which is by appointment only since the shop no longer takes walk-ins. Consultations are free and take about 30 minutes, and the shop works with clients outside Albuquerque by phone, email and online forms. Couples are asked to plan about five months ahead for wedding invitations, and a 50% deposit is taken once the order is set. The store is on Rio Grande Boulevard in Albuquerque.
