Fresquez Companies

Fresquez Companies is a family-owned food service company that runs 21 restaurants under 16 brands in New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. The company traces back to 1976, when Lenny and Linda Fresquez opened their first Arby's. Its New Mexican brands, including Tia Juanita's and Mac's Steak in the Rough, center on breakfast burritos, combination plates and green chile.

Travelers will find several of its brands inside the Albuquerque Sunport, including Tia Juanita's and Black Mesa Coffee Company. Tia Juanita's also sells frozen red and green chile in six-packs with a thermal tote for the trip home. Mac's Steak in the Rough is a long-time family-run drive-in in Albuquerque, where carhops bring boxed orders to parked cars. The company's office on Louisiana Boulevard NE handles contact and careers.
