First Choice Community Healthcare

First Choice Community Healthcare is a nonprofit community health center system that has operated since 1972. Its services include primary care, dental, behavioral health, women's health, a school-based teen clinic, lifestyle medicine, substance use disorder treatment, pharmacy, lab work, and specialty care, with telehealth visits also available. The system runs nine locations, including sites in Edgewood and Los Lunas.

Care is offered to patients with and without insurance, and the health center describes a sliding fee discount program and help with Medicaid applications. The Alameda location on the northwest side of Albuquerque offers primary care, behavioral health, women's health, pharmacy, and lab services, and it is accepting new patients. After-hours calls go to an answering service that connects callers to the provider on call.
