Fat Tire Cycles

Fat Tire Cycles is a locally owned bicycle shop in Albuquerque that has been in business since 1994. It sells more than 20 bicycle brands for commuting, recreation and mountain riding, along with accessories, clothing, helmets and lighting. The shop repairs all brands and offers electric bike conversions, custom builds, wheel building, and fork and shock restoration.

Staff can fit riders to a bike to correct pain while riding, and the shop offers lifetime free adjustments on bikes it sells. Technicians work seven days a week and will fix a flat while you wait. Rental and demo bikes are available, and the shop keeps a large stock of hard-to-find parts, so other bike shops often send their customers here. There are three Albuquerque locations, including Montaño and Corrales, and the Foothills shop is on Candelaria Road.
