Yanke Bionics

Yanke Bionics is a prosthetic and orthotic provider that makes custom bionic devices for patients who have lost a limb or need bracing support. Services range from upper and lower extremity prostheses to elbow, knee, ankle foot, and spinal orthoses, along with diabetic footwear and fracture care boots at select locations. The company is an accredited facility and fabricates its devices in-house.

Patients are referred by the medical community, and care includes device fitting, training, and ongoing follow-up. Yanke Bionics runs 10 patient care facilities across Ohio, including its main office at 303 W. Exchange St. in Akron, and its mobile units visit nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and area hospitals. The team works alongside physicians and physical therapists, since physical therapy itself is not offered in the clinics.
