Whitman Knights of Columbus

The Whitman Knights of Columbus is Council 347, the local chapter of the Catholic fraternal organization founded in 1882, and it is best known around town for its function hall. The Banquet Hall holds up to 110 people and the Kennedy Room & Lounge holds up to 40, so the council hosts baby showers, fundraisers, business meetings and seminars. Bingo runs every Monday afternoon, and a meat raffle is held on the second Saturday of the month.

Facilities and events are open to the public, and rental rates, dates and availability are handled by function manager Larry Roache by email or phone. The lounge opens Friday evenings at 6 PM, with shuffleboard starting at 7 PM. Each fall the council sells Holiday Calendars with a daily drawing from Thanksgiving through New Year's, and the proceeds support local causes such as the Whitman Food Pantry and the council's scholarship program.
